Thinking of Me, and only me

It saddens me to think that the world is full of bad people. Good people, for sure, but also bad. Think of Yin and Yang, the chinese version, of their interpretation, of the Balance between good and evil. I've been thinking about it for a few years, and I've come to the conclusion that if there was too much evil in the world, good would rise up, and stop it. And, if someone became like Batman, in the TV show 'Batman: Brave and The Bold' (Namely the episode 'Joker: Vile and Villainous), and there was too much good in control, evil would need to put someone like that episodes version of a crime-controlling Batman back in their place.

What I'm getting at is, there are people in the world, like, maybe you and me, that would take the time out of their own day, to listen to someone else's problems, and think of someone besides themselves. And then there are those who are soooo wrapped up in their own idiotic lives, they can only think of 3 people; Me, Myself, and I.

As my mum once said to me 'Sometimes, people just don't want to take off their blinkers'. You might be sitting there wondering what the hell 'blinkers' is meant to mean? Well it means they only see what they want to see, and that's it. Nothing else, matters. Not their kids, not any pets, nothing. There are a few examples in my family, but, because I'm polite, and I do my best to NOT be an asshole, I won't say who they are. All I can say, is thank goodness it's not my immediate family. Now, as I've unfortunately discovered over the years, selfish people don't give 2 craps about anyone else, unless you have something to offer them, like a holiday house to go to, or something.

Why some people are selfish, I'll never truly get. Maybe one day, when we bring them up on their behavior towards others besides themselves, they'll actually listen. Probably not, but it's worth a try, right? Speaking of behavior, there's 2 members from 2 different sides of my family, that are selfish in their own different ways. One only cares about themselves, and not their kids, leaving them to fend for themselves. In fact, they'd be lucky if there was bread in their house for lunches. Or anything snack wise for that matter.

The other member of my family has a son, that still lives with them, but they don't ask him to do any work whatsoever. Instead, they rely on my dad to help them out with mediocre tasks, like installing a Dyson wall mounted vacuum cleaner charger, or helping with their WiFi problems. Lazy and self centred, asking for my dad to help them out, when they have someone else they could ask. Though, I suppose this picture says it all:

These 2 people in my family only have one thing in common, besides their selfishness or self-centeredness; they don't remember my Parent's birthdays, at all. That's just sad. And now, to take my mind off of it all, I'm going to distract myself by talking to someone else for a little while, cause that's the kind of person I am. What about you? Do you feel the same? Do you know someone like this? If so, send this blog to them, and see what they have to say.
